Sub. Inter-Firm Comparison on Financial Performance of 

Spinning Mills for the Years 2005-06 and 2004-05

Dear Sir,

We are pleased to announce 25th Survey on “Inter-Firm Comparison of Financial Performance of Spinning Mills during the Period 2005-06 and 2004-05” based on Annual Reports of Spinning Mills. We, therefore, request you to kindly arrange to send Annual Reports i.e. P/L Account and Balance Sheet of your mill for the years 2005-06 and 2004-05 and the enclosed Order Form.

Indian Spinning Industry has carved a special place for itself in the international textile trade based on its Productivity, Modernization and innovation in Product-Mix. Competition is on the increase with more players in the domestic and international markets enter into foray. Any mill would like to know how other mills perform in this changing scenario. This study promises to be very useful by providing insight into the financial performance through various financial ratios and cost structure of more than 100 spinning mills that are likely to participate. Success of this survey can be gauged by the fact that ATIRA is carrying out this survey for the 25th time - a Silver Jubilee feat. 

On completion of the survey, we will send to you a SUMMARY presenting the industry’s overall performance during the last two years. Please note that there is no participation fee for this study.

Full report presenting financial analysis of all the mills identified with code numbers will be made available to the participating mill at the following concessional price. 

Price per copy: Rs.3,000/- for participants                  Rs.4,000/- for non-participants

Further we will allow 20% discount on the above price to those participants who while sending Annual Reports place the order along with the demand draft for Rs. 2,400/- drawn in favour of ATIRA. Please find the enclosed order form.   

Along with the full report, you will also get A SPECIAL DIAGNOSTIC REPORT (SDR) presenting your mill’s performance during the years 2005-06 and 2004-05 in comparison with the performance of:

• The industry as a whole 

• A mill (identified with code number) by and large comparable with your mill.

• The SDR will give simple procedure for identifying areas of action at your mill.

In case the mill does not require SDR, a normal IFC Report as mentioned above will be sent to you and accordingly, the charges will be Rs.2,200/- per copy
