WHAT IS ITCTI?

                 

                      The Information Technology Center for Textile Industry (ITCTI) has been set up at ATIRA under the sponsorship of Industries Commissionerate, Government of Gujarat. Shri. Sureshchandra Mehta, Honorable Minister for Industry, Civil Aviation, Tourism and Information Technology, Government of Gujarat inaugurated the center on June 1, 2002.

ITCTI at ATIRA has,

 

  • Data Centre on the Indian Textile Industry.

  • IT application wing that develops and applies hardware and software across the manufacturing Operations of the textile industry.

  • Fabric Sample bank that sources and analyse imported and exported fabrics to and from India. The Samples are under display in the center.

  • To create a centre of excellence for research in IT for textiles and apparel industries.

  • To evolve a Data Bank onTextiles and Apparel for benefit of Producers and Traders.

  • To develop a Sample Bank of major varieties of fibres, yarns and fabrics produced in India as well as those imported into the country.

  • To keep track of major national and international textile related policies and tariffs.

  • To undertake IT based research and development projects having direct impact on the performance of the industries.

  • To generate awareness and opportunities of IT in the textile sectors.

                          The database on the industry can be accessed at the Data Center at ATIRA or in the web through www.Itcti.com. Fabric samples along with the test results can be seen at Fabric sample bank. For details on hardware/software application for textiles developed by the IT application wing, please contact, The Coordinator, ITCTI, ATIRA.

                     All the data are categorized as per the functional aspects as listed above and are the main categories. Each category has sub-categories that are functional, fibre (Cotton, Silk, Synthetic, Wool and so-on.) products (Fibre, Yarn, Fabric and Garments) and sectoral (Mills, Powerlooms, Handlooms etc).

                  The category, LIST consists of  Cotton textile exporters in the country, Synthetic fabric exporters in Gujarat, Ginning units in Gujarat, all textile manufacturing units in Gujarat.

                    Only the authorized users can access the database by Logging in. The authorization either paid or unpaid will be provided by ATIRA.
